SPY x FAMILY part one was released at the start of 2022 and became an overnight sensation. An absurd cocktail of found-family (literally) and 1960s screwball spy comedy, it's unlike anything you've probably seen before. On top of that, as soon as we met SPY x FAMILY's weird and wonderful Forger family, we fell in love. Whether it's the super spy (and super dad) instincts of Loid, the unhinged reactions of elite assassin Yor, or the adorable telepathic antics of Anya – the show has something for everyone. Its unique stylings have already made the show one of 2022's breakout anime hits, but we were all left wanting more when season one's first half came to a close at the end of June. Luckily, viewers won't have long to wait for more SPY x FAMILY episodes. Here's what we know about SPY x FAMILY part two. WIT Studios SPY x FAMILY part 2 release date: When will it air?SPY x FAMILY's distribution company TOHO announced ahead of release that the show would be divided into two parts, or 'cours'. The second half of SPY x FAMILY season one will begin airing on October 1, according to the show's official website and this small teaser video released at the end of August. Although it has not been officially confirmed by the streaming service, we'd expect all new episodes of SPY x FAMILY to be available on Crunchyroll. SPY x FAMILY's second half is set to have 13 episodes, bringing the total to 25. Depending on the exact start date, 13 weeks of SPY x FAMILY episodes would put the part two finale at the end of December. It's worth remembering that the original manga is still ongoing, and SPY x FAMILY part one only covered three of the currently-available nine volumes (17 individual chapters for those keeping count). If the second half covers a similar amount of plot then there's no reason to expect the Forgers will be saying a permanent goodbye at the end of part two as there'll be plenty of stories left to tell.
WIT Studios SPY x FAMILY part 2 voice cast: Who's in SPY x FAMILY part 2?SPY x FAMILY part two will feature much of the same impressive voice cast as the first, with talented English and Japanese actors bringing this host of loveable actors to life. The show will also continue to be a co-production between WIT Studios and CloverWorks (a seriously impressive collaboration). • Loid Forger - Takuya Eguchi (Japanese) / Alex Organ (English) Speaking to ComicBook.comat AnimeExpo in July 2022, Anya actress Megan Shipman shed some light on what makes her character so special. "I think what people find, or what I found so endearing about her, is the fact that she is a child that is actually a child," she said. "She's not like a 10,000-year-old being in a five-year-old body. She's an actual child. And I think that's what makes her so endearing is her thought process is that of a child and she's written so well as a child." SPY x FAMILY part 2 will also continue to be directed by anime legend Kazuhiro Furuhashi, whose work includes the global megahits Hunter x Hunter (1999) and the various iterations of Rurouni Kenshin. WIT Studios SPY x FAMILY part 2 plot: What will happen in SPY x FAMILY part 2?As discussed, the first half of SPY x FAMILY season one covered three volumes (17 chapters) of the manga, so we'd expect that second half to cover a similar amount of ground. That means, if you just can't wait to know what happens next, there are plenty of details out there. Without spoiling too much, volumes four to six of the manga see Anya, Loid and Yor get into all sorts of trouble. SPY x FAMILY part two will see the Forgers get acquainted with their new family member Bond, the big white dog with mysterious powers we met in the last moments of part one, while Anya tackles some more impossible exams at her prestigious school. Fans of the original manga will also be excited to hear that WISE agent Fiona Frost is finally joining the show. Fiona, whose lavender bob and long purple duffer jacket is quite the serve, is Loid Forger's protegé. Unfortunately for our new favourite family, she's also harbouring unrequited and unspoken feelings for Loid – and honestly, who could blame her? This extra wrinkle is sure to make the ridiculous house of cards that is the Forger family dynamic even more unstable – and we can't wait to see what happens next. Released just after the season one finale, the trailer teases the first 'mission' the Forgers will be facing – titled 'Stop the Terrorist Bombing Attack'. It features absolute girlboss Sylvia, who we didn't see nearly enough of in season one, as well as the first look at two new characters. The first is an apparent terrorist who's up to no good, and the second is the Forgers' new very good boy Bond. The Forgers' very cute dog was teased during the SPY x FAMILY part one finale and is a favourite among fans of the manga thanks to some… unusual abilities.
