The Crown Tundra is quite a massive region; from everything we've heard about the Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion, it's an addition everyone was hoping for. It even has minor RPG elements into the game in the form of quests, and a lot of people are hoping these are here to stay. One such quest is to find the Mayor of Freezington, as this begins a massive quest to get a Legendary Pokémon. However, the mayor isn't a significant character in the Crown Tundra, but he is a recurring one, so finding him at times is a bit tricky.

Where to find the Mayor

To find the mayor, it entirely depends on where you are in The Legend of the King of Bountiful Harvests quest. If you have just begun this quest before speaking to Calyrex, he can be located in his humble abode in Freezington or standing outside. After speaking to Calyrex, he'll be somewhere in the Giant's Bed Area.

The mayors' main role is to help you combine the two parts of the Legendary Pokémon into one again as Calyrex has lost its trusty steed - either Glastrier or Spectrier depending on where you have planted your Carrot Seeds.

After you meet Calyrex, the Pokémon will inform you to speak to the villagers of Freezington, who will then tell you to find the mayor. However, he is not currently at his home in Freezington. To find him, you must head south of the village, through Frostpoint Fields and into the Giant's Bed area. As long as you keep heading directly south from the fields, you'll find the mayor near the center of this area next to some more fields.

Speak to him here to advance the quest, then go back to his home in Freezington to progress The Legend of the King of Bountiful Harvests story further.

Look outside of Freezington.

Just like Peony was little tricky to find earlier in the story for The Crown Tundra, the case of the missing Mayor is also a bit difficult as well. This comes up as part of the Legendary Clue 1 quest while you’re trying to help out Calyrex find his loyal steed from the past. When asked to go speak with the head of the town, you will be told that the Mayor is gone.

To find the Mayor here, you need to head to the area known as Giant’s Bed on the map. This is located just south of Freezington, but you will have to go through another area first known as Frostpoint Field. Head out of Freezington in the opposite place to where you came, which should take you south.

From the Mayor’s house, turn around and follow the right wall and you’ll eventually reach the area known as Frostpoint Field. From here, just keep heading straight through to where you see some green grass in the distance. Just soon after you reach the grass, the notification will pop up letting you know that you have reached Giant’s Bed, which is where we need to be.

Not long after you’re in Giant’s Bed, you should notice some ruined buildings not too far away to the left. This is the area we want to head towards, where you will find four total destroyed buildings, two on each side. Head between them and you’ll eventually see the Mayor up ahead to the left next to some dead fields for planting crops. Speak with the Mayor here and he will head back to Freezington, which will allow you to continue your quest.

Can't find the mayor in the Crown Tundra?

You will need to head south out of the village down through Frostpoint Field and into the Giant's Bed. It is basically a straight shot from exiting Frostpoint Field to where you will find the Mayor, sitting near the center of the Giant's Bed area next to some fields.

It is set in the snowy southern area called the Crown Tundra, based on Scotland, in Sword and Shield's region of Galar. The player controls the protagonist during their journey through the tundra, home to old legendary Pokémon from past games as well as some new legendary Pokémon.
