Keys are items used to unlock doors in each chapter. Types of keys found throughout the game may vary from Butterfly Spirits or other variations of keys.

Chapter 1

The first key is obtained by following a path of bloody footsteps to a shed that is full of ominous images and a pentagram in the middle with a few candles and the key. One grabbing the key, you must use it on the door at the back of the gymnasium.
The second key is in the school, in the room in the back on the right. Once inside the room, at the back of that room is a key that lays on the floor. Once grabbing the key, you must use it on the basement door which is found right next to the room you're in.
The third key is on the far left on Hiachi's maze on the lap of a dead man. Once grabbing the key, you must find the exit door and use it on the door.
The fourth key is found in the attic of the farmer's house. Once grabbing the key, you must use it on the door past the gate in the cave and in the basement of the house on the left.

Chapter 2

Keys

The first key is found in the room up past the stairs and in the room on the far right. Once grabbing the key, you must use it on the door on the first floor of the palace on the far left.
The second key is found in Shaku's maze just if you walk straight forward. Once grabbing the key, you must exit the maze and go to the door found on the other side of The Hospital.

Spirits

The first spirit is found in the garden on the far left of the first room when you walk into the third part of The Imperial Palace. Once grabbing the spirit, you must use it on the spirit door located just next to the garden.
The second spirit is found in the room at the very middle of the 2nd area of the third part of The Imperial Palace. Once grabbing the spirit, you must use it on the spirit door found in the room on the left once walking out from the room with the spirit in it.
The third spirit is found on the right side of Shaku's second maze. Once grabbing the spirit, you must use it on the spirit door right next to you when leaving Shaku's second maze.
The fourth spirit is found inside of the garden in the middle of Sama's maze. Once grabbing the spirit, you must use it on the spirit door found at the exit of Sama's maze.

After talking to Keneo, you’ll want it Start by visiting each building around the village. A giant monster will appear when you end your chat with Keneo, so try to stay under roofs and out of sight. Each building has a crucial clue to completing the puzzle, so it’s important that you visit each one.

Check the walls for paintings

You should be able to find a painting in each building. They’ll be random each time you play through the game, but they’re recognizable by their intricate gold frames. In some buildings there are statues that point you directly to it. you will want memorize each painting that you see There will be five different paintings in total. Once you’ve seen five paintings, you can go to the Candle Building, but you’ll need a key.

The key is in one of the buildings with the paintings. This building has a large awning cover in the entrance as pictured above. It is also recognizable by its stone statues inside. To the To the right of the statues will be a cabinet. You can open the closet door and Find the key inside. this keygrants you access to the building where the painting puzzle takes place and where you can collect the orb for Keneo.

the puzzle building appears as shown above when you pass the center square of the village where a wooden bridge is located. Be careful when traveling to this building as the monster guarding the area is still around and on the hunt. Once you have memorized all five paintings and have the key, you can go inside and solve the puzzle.

Light the candles under the correct paintings

As soon as you enter the building you will want to do it immediately Look for the corresponding paintings that match the five you noted from the previous buildings. Once you’ve found the right image, light the candle underneath. There are more than five paintings on three different floors in the building, so this task will be more difficult if you don’t remember the right ones. If you light any of the wrong candles, they will be extinguished and you will have to try again. Be careful if the monster is sneaking around while completing this task.

Collect the orb

When you’ve lit all the right candles, Orb appears in the hand of the statue on the first floor. Grab the orb and escape the building without getting caught by the guarding monster, and you’re well on your way to the next task.
