In NBA 2K22, the Gatorade Training Facility is back and remains a place that all players should be stepping into at least once a week if they haven't yet unlocked the Gym Rat Badge.

Aside from being able to buy stamina-boosting consumables, which heavily improve your ability to shoot and play defense in Rec/Pro-Am, the Gatorade gym allows players to complete their weekly workouts and earn a Turbo Boost that adds an extra section to your stamina meter. Here are the best drills to do for your weekly Gatorade Training Facility drills in NBA 2K22 MyCareer on Current Gen and Next Gen.

To get gym rat this year. You have to complete 50 workouts with at least a 3 star rating at the Gatorade facility

Which means. Since they are weekly. The earliest you will be able to obtain gym rat is November 19th. If you do the workouts every single week till then.#NBA2K22

Thankfully, on both the Current Gen and Next Gen versions of NBA 2K22, the Gatorade Training Facility workouts are exactly the same. Here are the best and easiest drills to do to get +3/4 in all five categories and secure the weekly Turbo Boost:

For Acceleration, the Agility Ladder is the easiest of the two in my opinion as you just have to press one of four buttons. Just like last year, it takes your best attempt of three, so once you get three or four stars, you're good to go.

The Treadmill is personally my toughest drill to consistently do as my fingers lock up after spamming the triggers, but ultimately it's the lesser of the two evils.

With Stamina, the Medicine Ball workout has always been my go-to pick. It might be tricky to get the timing down at first, but once you get it it's consistently easy to do.

In the Strength category, the Dumbbells drill is the easiest to do in the enitre Gatorade gym. Simply spam the A/X button then hit the triggers when they pop up. The timing window is very forgiving.

Lastly, while the Leg Press does have a cheesy method where you can just hold both of the sticks straight up, I prefer to do the Box Jump as it's more consistent.

If you ever are about to finish any of the drills without getting three or four stars, feel free to close the game's app as it won't save the result. If not, you'll have to wait until next week to try and get the Turbo Boost.

Quests in NBA 2K22 are added each day to add to the MyCAREER experience. One of the more popular quests is the Gym Rat quest, which rewards the Gym Rat badge.

This is also one of the tougher quests to complete in NBA 2K22, and though there was previously a shortcut, that has since been patched out.

If you're still struggling to complete this one, here's how you can complete the Gym Rat quest in NBA 2K22.

How to get the Gym Rat badge in NBA 2K22

First things first, you'll have to access the Gym Rat quest under the "Quests" screen in MyCAREER.

From there you'll receive the task to speak with the Gatorade Rep outside of the Gatorade Gym. The location differs for those on next gen and current gen.

HIT THE GYM: Start the Gym Rat quest by heading to the Gatorade Gym

Once you're outside you'll speak to the Gatorade Rep, who will assign you the Gym Rat quest. This is where the quest gets complicated.

Gym Rat Requirements

In this quest you'll have to earn 3 Stars 50 times in the workout categories available. This is a quest that will take a long time as you can only work out once a week across each of the stat categories.

You can choose whichever one you feel comfortable with, but these are the ones we consider the easiest to do for the Gym Rat required 3-star performances.

  • The treadmill (Tap the triggers in sequence to get the best time)
  • The squat rack (Repeatedly tap the correct button until the next button pops on screen)
  • The bench press (Use the joysticks to balance the bar)

Rewards

The best part about completing this complicated quest is you'll receive the Gym Rat Badge, this Badge will give you a permanent boost to their attributes and eliminates the need for them to work out.

Like every Badge, the Gym Rat Badge is vital to a successful MyCAREER in NBA 2K22, so you'll definitely want to complete the quest and receive these rewards.

Gym Rat Glitch Patched Out

Players of course didn't want to wait so long to achieve this Badge and they quickly found a way to work around it by heading to the Gatorade Sports Science Institute.

From there they ran the reaction work out multiple times until they achieved 50 stars from the single workout.

GLITCH FIX: NBA 2K22 patched the glitch that allowed players to freely collect stars

NBA 2K22 quickly got wind of this bug and patched it out earlier this month. Now players are going to have to do it the hard way, at least unless another workaround/glitch is discovered. Thankfully using the workouts above will help you complete the Gym Rat quest quickly to get those permanent stat boosts.
