Biography

ALMA and Image Award-nominated actress Marisa Ramirez is known for her memorable starring roles in both primetime and daytime television. In January 2013, Ramirez starred opposite Rob Lowe in the television movie "Prosecuting Casey Anthony." In 2011, she starred in the series "Against the Wall" and the mini-series "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena." Also, she starred in the television series "Miracles" and "Mental." Daytime fans know her well from "The Young and the Restless," on the Network, and her award-winning role as Gia Campbell on "General Hospital." Ramirez lends her time and talent to causes important to her, including HIV/AIDS, homelessness and animal rescue. She is an avid kick boxer, which she teaches.
