For some reason, the name Carmen Electra is synonymous with Dennis Rodman. While the two were only married less than a year, their relationship is one thing people can't seem to forget about her. Carmen is an actress, model, singer, and dancer. In fact, she began her professional career as a singer when she moved to Minneapolis and partnered up with Prince, who produced her first album in 1993. In 1996, she started modeling, and soon after she moved to LA where she joined the cast of Baywatch. 

An icon! There’s no doubt you’ve heard the name Carmen Electra over the years. The blonde bombshell — born Tara Leigh Patrick — is one of the hottest celebrities, widely recognized for being a glamour model, entertainer and sex symbol.

Carmen has one of the most fascinating rises to fame, as she actually was connected to the late music legend Prince, who produced her debut studio album. Interestingly, the “Purple Rain” performer was the one to persuade Carmen to change her moniker.

The stunner became even more popular after posing for Playboy, with her gorgeous figure taking the spotlight. Carmen continued to prove her star power by securing a role on the popular show Baywatch. With her outspoken personality, wit and undeniable good looks, she got cast on Singled Out as the host of the MTV dating game show.

Carmen is also known for her relationships with some of the world’s most notable rockers. She’s been romantically linked to Tommy Lee and Fred Durst, and even tied the knot with Dennis Rodman from 1998 to 1999. After going through a divorce from the NBA star, she exchanged her vows with Dave Navarro in 2003. Fans couldn’t get enough of the dynamic duo, and many tuned in to watch their hit reality show Carmen and Dave: An MTV Love Story, before they called it quits in 2007.

The star’s book How to Be Sexy was published around the time as her divorce and it taught women how to “let go of those inhibitions and insecurities” and go from “from ho-hum to hot.”

Throughout the span of her career, Carmen was featured in several flicks including Scary Movie, Meet the Spartans, Date Movie and Dirty Love. More recently, she’s appeared on the TV shows Jane the Virgin and Alone Together.

Luckily for fans, Carmen has a social media page that she keeps active and regularly shares updates with her one million followers. On April 13, 2020, she posted a throwback modeling photo. “Prince liked my sexy looks, but the label thought I dressed too sexy for my age, so we decided to photograph some more covered up looks,” she wrote, before hinting that she might write a memoir down the line.

“Maybe some day,” she dished. “The journey of my life is next level!”

Carmen celebrated her 50th birthday on April 20, 2022, posting a photo of her flower-adorned cake and a video of her eating while wearing a gold metal bikini top and sheer black pants. She has also shared more recent photos of herself in swimsuits looking as fit as ever.
