Why does brooke shields use a cane

Brooke Shields was in attendance at Tuesday night's Met Costume Institute Gala, the biggest fashion party of the year, and spotted walking the red carpet with a cane.

Brooke posed for several pictures, and told reporters that she tore the meniscus in her knee while performing in "The Addams Family" on Broadway. Brooke  admitted that the stairs on the red carpet were a little tough, but overall said that the injury was "not a big deal, just inconvenient."
