NOTE: This upgrade has been removed in 1.6.10. The Network Transmitter is now cross dimensional by default. The Interdimensional Upgrade is an upgrade that allows the Network Transmitter to work cross-dimensionally. This upgrade takes a lot of extra FE/t by default (1000 FE/t
extra). Edit I am using all the mods 6 pack 1.16.4 and got myself a creative wireless crafting grid. But I got a problem that the range is not that great even with boosters so is there any way to increase it to the infinitive range and cross dimensions? level 1 under <your world>/serverconfig/refinedstorage-server.toml there is a setting for the range. For cross dimension you will need to set up a new wireless transmitter in that dimension and connect to your main system via network transmitter/receiver. level 1 I think there is 2 refined storage blocks named "transmitter and receiver", but I haven't figured out to make them work ":/ level 2 Place the receiver somewhere and right click on it with a network card. Put the network card in the transmitter, connected to your network. The receiver is now connected to the network. Issue description:Trying to connect a Network Receiver (In Nether) to Network Transmitter (In Overworld) What happens:Network Receiver is not powered, so I can't connect any other RS blocks/ use Wireless Crafting Grid while near it in the Nether. What you expected to happen:Network Receiver to be powered from Network Transmitter which is connected to Controller which is powered, along with the Network Card in the Network Transmitter. The Network Card also has the coordinates of the Network Receiver, and it says "Dimension -1". Steps to reproduce:
Additional InformationI play Stone Block 1. I tried looking up solutions on YouTube, all browsing sites, and guides; couldn't find any guides except when the interdimensional upgrade was still in use. From what I understand, the Network Transmitter has been updated so that it is cross dimensional by default. And I've chunk loaded both areas in each dimension. Does this issue occur on a server? [yes/no] If a (crash)log is relevant for this issue, link it here:No crashes.
There are a few advantages I see in applied energistics. First off, wireless access. The max range you can access your items in RS is 48 blocks, and there's no wireless crafting grid. Applied Energistics add-on, wireless crafting monitor, solves that. You can craft, and with the infinity booster card, the range is infinite across all dimensions. I think RS is a great introduction
to digital storage while AE is far more in-depth.
So basically, neither mod actually offers that facility, one just happens to benefit from an add-on for it. Is that add-on updated to 1.10+? Last edited: Jun 24, 2017
For me LP will always win as I enjoy working with buildcraft pipes more so than any other. As for everyone that liked those thermal dynamics, I believe that LP works with those now as well.
I suspect, having the option, I'm going to end up using both RS and AE2. I mean, there are a lot of things to like about AE2, and a lot of things to like about RS. AE2 does micro systems much better than RS, because it doesn't need a controller for just eight channels. On the other hand, RS's distant system extender is a lot cheaper to make but more expensive to power after a certain
distance. AE2 does P2P and RS doesn't. So I can bring power, fluids or redstone signals along with my AE2 networking. RS crafting mechanic is much better at crafting lots of single things, but AE2 can easily brute force it's way through a huge crafting operation.

Though vanilla AE2 does include a portable cell you can plug storage into, which means you can take a 64k storage on the go with you. Kinda handy for mining, presuming you're not just teleporting things home.

1.11.
This is something Refined Storage has in 1.11. You can use a Deep Storage Unit or Quantum Storage to store large amounts of items. Also if an AE2 drive is storing a single item like Cobblestone for instance, it can hold more cobblestone then a RS Drive. Lots of different things require lots of drives. It makes more challenging which is fair considering the vast amount of power something like AE2 or RS gives.
I like Refined Storage a lot, it's very simple to get up and running.
1.11 will make running them in tandem easier, since they'll be able to talk to each other over interfaces, a feature missing from 1.10, but I can definitely see advantages of using both.

worlds. No more need to decide, if there ever was one. How do I access refined storage from anywhere?Refined Storage has extensive wireless abilities to access your storage network remotely. Craft a Wireless Grid and right click it on a Controller. Craft a Wireless Transmitter and add it to your network. You can now access your storage in a radius around the Wireless Transmitter.
How does refined storage work in Minecraft?Refined Storage is a mass storage mod for Minecraft that offers the player a network-based storage system, allowing them to store items and fluids on a massively expandable device network. Items and fluids can be stored in one of the many storage capabilities that the mod offers.
Do stack upgrades stack refined storage? The Stack Upgrade is a utility item added by Refined Storage. Inserted into an Importer or Exporter, the Stack Upgrade enables the device to move an entire stack of items at a time, dramatically improving the throughput.
