Does anyone have any idea how to recover your vehicle in story mode without having to pay cash to get it back is it possible to steal it back or get it back in any other possible way? I've been looking for this information for the past half an hour all over the Internets and I can't find a damn thing about it. Please help!

The only way to get your vehicle out of impound is to pay for it. The vehicle impound is also very hit-and-miss as to what vehicle it stores, though it seems to mostly be the last 2 vehicles you were in.

If you are looking for your default vehicle, however, that will respawn back at your residence.

Yes, be careful with your vehicles you spend good money on. Also, it's a good idea to keep the impound clear that way you have some assurance that your fully-kitted vehicle will be towed there if you're doing missions, swapping cars, getting distracted...

Really, if you could just steal the cars out of the impound lot, it'd be an even *more* annoying hassle that cars get taken there since it would cost you nothing *but* time (and sanity).

Why would you want to steal it anyway? It only cost a few hundred to get it out.

If you're seriously asking me if you need to delete windows, you need to stop touching things and find someone who knows what they're doing.

Franklin lost two Adders for some reason ... the impound always has some stupid SUV in it ... time to get it out and blow it up *angry face* ... the second lot is empty though, i wonder where my adders went :-/

Seriously. I wish you could set any particular car as your personal car. Along with two other cars as your garage cars.

Yeah, you can do it with helicopters, planes and boats, but not cars. A real shame...

How do I get my car back from the impound in GTA 5?

Just follow one of these methods:.

Call the Assistant on your phone. This will respawn the car nearby at a price of $1,000. ... .

Sneak into the back of the impound and steal your car back. Keep in mind that the ornery owners of the impound lot will open fire, so be prepared..

Pay $250 at the entrance of the impound..

How do you get a towed car out of GTA 5?

If you want to unhook a car on GTA 5 from the tow truck, follow these simple steps depending on your system: On PC, hold the H key. On Xbox, press the right directional button. On PS, press the right D-pad button.
