It had been five years since the birth of one Naruto Scarlet. He still had spiky blond hair and blue eyes, and his natural whisker marks. He also had his round childish face and stood at 4'3. He had become the pride, joy, and future of Fairy Tail, everyone simply adored him. Natsu and Gray thought of Naruto like their younger brother. Naruto would watch them train and he also kept score of who won the fights they had almost every day. Naruto had a relationship with everyone in the guild from surrogate little brother, to surrogate grandchild, to surrogate son. Hell, even Laxus treated Naruto like a little brother and a student, though he wouldn't admit it, as he taught Naruto how to fight.
However, Naruto didn't really want the attention he got from the members of the guild. The only person's attention he wanted was his mother's, Erza Scarlet. His mother paid most attention to him when he was a baby, but when he turned four she stopped paying attention to him, but Naruto was a very smart boy for a child. He learned how to walk when he was two and learn to talk at three years old, being able to speak full sentences at four. Unfortunately, Naruto didn't just get the attention of the guild members.
The Magic Council and the Wizard Saints were in a major discussion about what to do with Naruto when he was born. Most of the Magic Council wanted to dispose of the boy so he wouldn't be a problem when he is older like Zeref or Minato. Council people, Jellal and Ultear, suggested to mold the baby into a weapon for the council, something that Jose Porla, the master of Fairy Tail's rival guild Phantom Lord and the 6th Wizard Saint, agreed with. Luckily for Naruto, Master Makarov said as he was just a child and he can be raised to be a light wizard, not a dark wizard like his father. So the Magic Council decided to leave the boy alone.
It also didn't take long until Sorcerer Weekly caught wind of Erza's son. All Fairy Tail members were beyond angry when Sorcerer Weekly dubbed Naruto, the Bastard of Titania. This caused Naruto to get in many times fights with the other children in Magnolia, who thought that it was a good idea to make fun of him for being a bastard. Of course, Naruto won't all of them and taught some a lesson, something most parents were happy about since they didn't want their children to act this and not their comeuppance, others not so much.
Right now, Naruto was sitting on a bench in the park while the Fairy Tail members were having a celebration. He was wearing a green shirt with a red swirl over a light brown long sleeve shirt with dark green cargo shorts. Naruto was just relaxed, which was a feeling he didn't always get with the almost no attention from his mother and taunts from his peers. However, that relaxation was cut when five of Naruto bullies came to taunt him again.
"Hey, guys, its the bastard."
"Look at him thinking he's all cool, sitting there."
"Not only is he a bastard, but he's also a smug bastard." Naruto just sat there taking the taunts until he used the glare that his surrogate aunt, Mira, taught him.
"Go away or I'll kill you." The bullies flinched backward at the monotone tone and sweated bullets at the glare and deadly tone Naruto used.
"W-we're not scared of you, bastard!" Yelled a bully, gaining the attention of the Fairy Tail members. "There's five of us and one of you! Let's get him!" The five bullies charged at Naruto, who used the skills Laxus taught him to defend himself. He first tripped the first bully that reached him before grabbing the back of his shirt, throwing him into another. As three of the bullies looked at the two on the ground, Naruto shot forward and punched one before using him as a springboard, kicking the other in his face before putting both of his hands on the ground, twisting his body around for a kick. The bully could do nothing as Naruto's kick connected with his head. Naruto then jumped back to see his work and frowned when he saw that they were getting back up so easily. Naruto knew how to fight and he was strong for his age, but the bullies knew how to take punishment. The bullies started to charge at him again and Naruto got ready for a fight, but time seems to slow down and he heard someone whisper in his ear.
"Throw your arm upwards and say Dark Wave." Naruto did just that and a purple wave of energy was sent to the bullies which caused a small explosion. The dust settled to see the bullies unconscious in a comedic fashion. The Fairy Tail members ran over to Naruto to see if he was alright, but none reached him before Erza. Naruto looked up and smiled at his mother, not knowing the danger coming his way. Erza slapped Naruto with an armored hand, making a red handprint and a small cut across his cheek. He looked up at his mother to see her enraged face.
"WHERE DID YOU LEARN THAT ATTACK!"
"I-I heard a v-v-voice, telling me h-how to d-do it," Naruto said with his voice trembling and tear welling up in his eyes. Erza flinched, not from her son about to cry, but from his explanation, knowing that it was Madara but she quickly went back to her enraged self.
"AND YOU JUST LISTENED TO IT!" Natsu grabbed Erza's shoulder, making her look at him.
"Erza, calm down, he's only a kid." Before Natsu could say more, Erza started yelling at him, but not how she yelled at Naruto.
"Mind your business, Natsu! He's my son, not yours!" She then looked back at Naruto, who was being comforted by Mira. "And you! You won't get any dinner tonight!" Before Erza walked away fully, she heard Naruto mutter something. "What was that!" She then flinched when she saw Naruto's feral appearance. Naruto's eyes had changed from his blue eyes to red eyes with his pupils becoming slits. This was different from him.
"I hate you!" Naruto then untangled himself from Mira's hug and ran past Erza, who just stood there.
"Mira, why don't you go check on Naruto?"
"Sure thing Master," Mira said as she walked in Naruto's direction, but not before she glared in Erza's direction.
"Ezra, I know how much you hate Naruto's father, but you can not take it out on him. He can learn to be better. You just have to be there for him and support him, and be the mother you're supposed to be."
"Naruto, don't!" All of the Fairy Tail members turned to the gates of Magnolia where they heard Mira scream.
With Naruto
Naruto had ran all the way to his house where he hurried and grabbed his backpack before stuffing it with clothes and other necessities, before leaving. As he was walking to the gate, he heard a voice, but it was different from the first one.
"So sad to see talented kids punished for using their power." Naruto saw a man with black lips and a a thin mustache. The man also had dark reddish hair. The man held a hand out to him. "My name is Jose Porla, the master of Phantom Lord. Join me and your true power will come forth." Naruto looked at the man and then back at the hand stretched towards him. Naruto then started to reach the hand with his own, making Jose smile.
"Naruto, no!" Naruto retracted his hand to see Mira standing there with the rest of Fairy Tail coming. When they all did they were surprised to see Naruto with Jose, the master a dark guild.
"This is where you make you decision, Naruto. Who will you go with? Back to a mother who punishes you for using your power and barely pays attention to you or will you go to the person who can make you can make stronger than the rest and give you a real family." Naruto looked at both Jose and then Fairy Tail repeatedly trying to make his decision. He then locked on the face of his mother. He remembered how she would ignore him for something else or how she slapped him when he used his magic. His face became angry and Naruto fully glared at Erza before turning back and grabbing Jose's hand.
"A wise choice you've made Naruto." The two then wrapped in a cocoon of dark energy. Natsu tried to reach for Naruto before he was gone, but right as he was about to touch, he was gone.
