4.0 out of 5 stars color comparison of Sikacryl, Red Devil and DAP
Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2021

This is mainly about the differences in color among the 3 brands that I've tried. [see photos: first applied and then a few days later.] The color does turn darker after a few days than first applied, but Sikacryl and Red Devil are light grey, while DAP is more blueish darker grey. I can mix Sikacryl and DAP to get some color in between. (I plan to post this same review on the other 2 products for visibility and comparison [if it's allowed].)Other than the color, they are all about the same as far as I can tell. Applying is easy enough but pretty quickly it turns sticky so it's hard to further adjust the shape. It's quite grainy, rough after dried. I haven't tried sanding but that may help.I can't tell the difference between Sikacryl and Red Devil, and was surprised to see the former is much cheaper. However, I've seen some online review rating Red Devil better.

Used this to patch a moderately large chip in a sidewalk. Wish they sold a smaller pint size since I didn't need this much. This is the smallest size you can get as far as I know, which is 1 quart or 4 cups. It comes in a plastic tub container with instructions to use a screwdriver to help you open and a hammer to close it. You can open and close it by hand, but I get why it might sometimes arrive open by mail since the plastic lid is easy to deform if something lifts it up. My plastic tub arrived fine and the material was not open or dried out. I got the package with the plastic knife set. You could probably buy this cheaper in a big-box store, so you're paying extra for the convenience of delivery.

It's a lot lighter in texture than I was expecting. Other reviews call it "fluffy," which I would agree is the best description of it. I thought it would be denser, but it has the texture of cake mousse. I do wish it was a little denser so it would be easier to scoop and pack into deeper cracks. It does have a tendency to stick a little to gloves and spreading implements. I used the plastic knife set, but maybe it's easier to spread with a metal knife. I was worried it wouldn't set due to the texture, but it seemed pretty hard and dry 24 hours after the patch. I did apply it on a summer day where temps were between 70s and 80s. Didn't shrink, but it seemed to sink down a bit and "level" into the crack after 24 hours. I could probably do another layer, but I'm waiting to see how it holds up to rain and whether it will "melt off" like some negative reviews mentioned. So far, so good though.

My parents had a concrete donkey and a concrete wagon when I was young Now I have inherited it and after 50 years it started to fall apart. I use this to patch all holes, and any cracks. And then painted it and clearcoated it, and now it looks better than new . So it really holds up good on stuff like this , the wagon had a huge hole in the bottom from freezing because it was a flower pot. I was able to stuff two tubs of that in it. And let it dry Took some sandpaper to it, and then painted it like I said looks great and I bet it will hold up better than the original concrete it was made with. Very satisfied

I used this to patch cracks in our 50 yr old concrete driveway. Just the right amount for what I needed. The color is pretty close to the current concrete so it blends in pretty well. The only problem was that the product was very poorly packaged and thrown loose into a box. The lid was partially ajar and some of the product had dried out but just along the edge where the lid popped open. In generally packaging in recent months has been awful overall on many products.

I had good results with this product. It filled in all the cracks. I found it relatively simple to use. I would recommend this product and would use it again.

Works great, goes on well, dries nicely, has held up in a high traffic area. Takes the guess work out of mixing.

I have a "sculpture", actually a foam shape cover with concrete like paint, that sits in my garden. It was not faring well in the Florida weather; The coating was failing. I had tried a few other products with disappointing results. Then, Red Devil Concrete Patch. It seems to have saved the day! After application of the product with a blade, with some success, I stirred in a bit (not much!) of water and changed to a chip brush. This made all the difference for me! I was able to coat, dry then coat the entire sculpture again. After allowing a few days of dry time, I returned it to the garden. Fingers crossed, it appears to be holding beautifully!!! I am well pleased. I did not want to trash the sculpture!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks. Easy to use,!

I love this. It's easy to apply and I used on small cracks on cement floor.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected.

Not cement. More like a putty. Unless your using a very thin layer, it is spongy and does not really do the job

5.0 out of 5 stars I can't believe how fast this product dries.

Very easy to apply and dries quickly.
