Poison Mist is a spell in Elden Ring.

Description

Incantation of the servants of rot.Releases a poisonous mist before the caster.
This incantation can be cast while in motion. Those who dwell within poison know rot all too well. The death that begets life, that comes to all equally. That is to say: it is the cycle of rebirth put into practice.

Acquisition

  • Found via a Teardrop Scarab in the eastern Weeping Peninsula forest area south of the Nomadic Merchant (east of the pillar where the Weeping Peninsula map is found)

Here you will find a white scarab, all you have to do is kill it to get the Poison Mist spell, I recommend using a ranged weapon / attack since the scarab will teleport around if you get to close.

Journeying through the Lands Between can be quite dangerous especially if you come across strong enemies. However, one of the incantations you can use in Elden Ring can help in defeating them easily. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find the Poison Mist incantation in Elden Ring.

What are incantations in Elden Ring?

In Elden Ring, incantation spells can be used to perform various things. From healing yourself to casting spells that can inflict damage on enemies, they can come in pretty handy on your journey. One of these incantation spells is the Poison Mist and most players consider this the most powerful incantation in the game.

And just as the name implies, casting the Poison Mist incantation poisons your enemies. But you can also poison enemies in a more direct way. If you have a poison-infused weapon, you can use this to hit your enemies and effectively poison them. What makes the Poison Mist special is you can poison your enemies without their knowledge. Moreover, it makes the job of defeating tough enemies in Elden Ring quicker and easier.

To find this incantation, players will need to travel to the Castle Morne rampart site of grace. From there, you need to start heading southeast until you arrive at the area marked on the map below. But as you come up to the forest, you will find a Teardrop Scarab. Engage in combat with this enemy because you can only obtain the Poison Mist from it.

How to defeat Teardrop Scarab

Defeating the Teardrop Scarab requires players to be quick in attacking it. We highly suggest using ranged attacks or weapons to quickly defeat it before it escapes. After successfully defeating the enemy, you will get the Poison Mist incantation.

How to use Poison Mist incantation

Players need to have 12 faith to use this spell as well as a Sacred Seal. If you do not have a Sacred Seal yet, you can buy the Finger Seal from the Twin Maiden Husks. This NPC can be found at the Table of Lost Grace. Once you obtain the Finger Seal, you can finally start casting this spell.

Keep in mind that every time you use the Poison Mist spell, it costs you 18 FP. But even if it’s a bit costly to cast, this incantation is great if you’re going up against an enemy mob. If you won’t use the Poison Mist incantation exclusively to defeat enemies, it can be used to make enemies vulnerable.

We hope this guide helped you find the Poison Mist in Elden Ring.

Kath is just a small-time gamer with dreams of getting a simulator game that's like Sims 4, Stardew Valley, and Animal Crossing all rolled into one. In their spare time, Kath hosts streams with friends while playing online multiplayer games like Valorant and Call of Duty. There isn't any type of game Kath shies away from... except if it's a horror game. Make Kath choose between eating a ghost pepper or playing Outlast and they'll endure the pain that comes with eating a ghost pepper. At the moment, Kath is getting lost in the world of Teyvat with Raiden Shogun, Zhongli, and Venti on their current team. Instead of going for the meta, Kath's main goal in Genshin Impact is to have all the Archons on her roster. Ask Kath what Genshin Impact is and prepare yourself for a very lengthy and detailed conversation about the open-world RPG. Aside from gaming, Kath also likes to dabble in playing music and some creative writing. With all of these hobbies and interests, it's a surprise Kath still gets bored from time to time.
