Rick and Marty Lagina and their partners face a critical dilemma, as they believe they've reached a wooden treasure vault after excavating the Valley-Three shaft in the Money Pit to a depth of 145 feet. In an effort to bring the contents of the vault to the surface, they pump compressed air down the shaft, but when that method proves futile because of the underground flood tunnels, they decide to cautiously continue digging with a three-ton hammer grab tool. When large pieces of lumber begin coming up, the team believes they have breached the vault, but they are shocked to find circular saw marks on the wood. The team realizes what they thought was a vault is actually a searcher tunnel that was constructed in the 1930's. Alex Lagina, Jack Begley and Charles Barkhouse search for clues with metal detection expert, Gary Drayton on Lot 6 - land once owned by a former 18th century American slave named Samuel Ball. Show
