It took me 30 minutes to find my player. He was listed as a relief pitcher. Anyone else having issues with this? Also, not being a DD player, can I move him to be a SP? I've tried and it doesn't seem to work. It just pulls up starting pitchers in the squad.

For every archtype expect picture you can move the player around. For instance a cf can be out in and then moved into ss. That isn’t the truth for pitchers. Whatever the archtype says for your pitcher when you make them HAS to be in the same slot of the rotation/bullpen and cannot be changed from one location to another. So for now if you are using an archtype that doesn’t say SP in the ball player menu it can’t be used.

That's the frustrating part. If I click on my player card it says SP. I'm wondering if messed up. The first time I got into RTTS, I created a SP/1B. Then changed my mind. I went in, deleted the file, and started a SP/3B. Seeing as that can't create more than one player, I think even though I've been playing 3 days with the newer one, the game is still registering the original. In that save, I'm almost positive I didn't get to the point where it asked if I wanted to be a SP, RP, or CP. This whole thing is just so messed up. I'm only trying DD, because I'm in the majors as a 64ovr SP, with only 3 pitches. I'm get rocked and frustrated not being able to mix other stuff into pitch counts.
Of all the things I'm most irked about, it's how I can't add pitches.

I can’t speak on how to fix the issue of them only being in RP slot but I do have a possible way to use them in quick easy to play DD modes. Play the conquest mode the very first one you play as against the Rockies. It’s a quick easy starter game you only need to play rookie mode on for 3 innings. You will start as away so you won’t pitch at the beginning. While you hit quickly warm up your pitcher and when you start put them in. It isn’t perfect but it’s a crappy work around until they fix everything.

Now I can't start a game in DD when my player is in the relief pitcher slot. It says I don't have enough relief pitchers on my squad. So, let's recap: My player is a SP, but in DD he is in a MRP slot. I can't start a game because it tells me I don't have enough relief pitchers. I take my player out, sub in a different player and we are good to go. In short: Progression is broken RTTS, and if I want to try and progress in DD, I can't because the game doesn't even acknowledge my player is in a roster spot.
This game has officially become a waste of money and a waste of space on my ps5.

As I mentioned before you have to start the game with a sp while playing away. That will get you to hit first and while hitting warm your RP ballplayer. At start bottom half switch him in.
Is this ideal? Hell no. It is though the only way to do this.

You don't understand. Mlb the show 21, won't let me proceed into a game. I click on a single player competition, select the team I want play against, and select start game. A message pops up on the screen saying "You don't have enough relief pitchers. Change roster to proceed." The ONLY way I can get to a point where I choose a pitcher to start, is if I remove "my player" from the active roster.
If "my player" is on the active roster, I can't play a game.

Okay that’s a new one on me. That’s a bit messed up. I will send in a big report. While other things aren’t working right that sounds straight up like a bug to me.
