The 2012 model year marks the beginning of a generation that ended with the 2017 Camry. For the 2012 redesign, the Camry gained a more powerful base engine, a standard six-speed automatic transmission, slightly higher fuel economy estimates, a larger trunk, and refreshed exterior styling.
