Clemson softball coach John Rittman after the Tigers won their NCAA Regional championship in three straight games and advanced to the Super Regional. Clemson softball has one more team to beat for a spot in the NCAA Softball Women's College World Series. Clemson meets Oklahoma State in an NCAA Tournament Super Regional best-of-three series that starts Thursday, May 26. Clemson (42-15) swept through its first home NCAA regional with three shutouts, including a one-hitter in the championship game against Louisiana by Millie Thompson, who had a no-hitter two days earlier. Oklahoma State (44-12) beat North Texas to earn the right to host the Tigers as the No. 7 seed. Clemson is the No. 10 seed. Here's the schedule for their upcoming series. The No. 1 seeded Oklahoma Sooners will look to bounce back from the championship game loss in the Big 12 tournament to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls in the opener of the Norman regional of the NCAA tournament. The Sooners will host Prairie View A&M (20-27, 19-6 SWAC) on Friday. The Sooners started the Big 12 tournament off strong with a 6-0 shutout of Iowa State, but were unable to get much going offensively in the Big 12 championship game, falling to the Cowgirls in extra innings. Oklahoma softball will face Oklahoma State in a winner's bracket game at Hall of Fame Stadium on Friday. The Sooners and Cowgirls are meeting for the first time in the Women's College World Series.
